Barbados Island Location
Barbados lies just east of the Caribbean island chain some 1 600 miles southeast of Miami, Florida. Relatively flat compared to its volcanic neighbours, it is one of the few coral-capped islands in the region.
While Barbados lacks that peaked volcanic landscape common to nearby islands, it well makes up for it with its distinctive blend of the bustling cosmopolitan texture of Bridgetown and the gentle, back-in-time countryside of soft rolling hills and meandering roads.
Miles of sugarcane fields sway lightly in the breeze interrupted only by rows of colorfully quaint chattel houses.
