Stay In Touch
St. Croix, like the rest of the US Virgin Islands, has communications systems that are up to date with modern standards, so staying in touch with the rest of the world (should you so desire) is relatively easy.
The phone system on St. Croix is the same as that used in the states, with an area code plus seven digits. Most villas have telephones that are capable of making calls overseas, and some St. Croix villa rentals come equipped with internet-accessible computers or wireless connections. Nearly all of our St. Croix villas have televisions, allowing access to local, national, and international networks.
If you feel the need to catch up via the internet and don’t have access at your villa, there are two internet cafes in Christiansted. The Bean Mon, located in Caravelle Arcade, currently has just one computer station, but there is also a wireless connection of you want to bring your own laptop. Strand Street Station (340-719-6245), right across the way, has several computer stations. To see what’s going on in St. Croix today, visit this St. Croix newspaper online at http://stx.onepaper.com/.
