St. John Weather
Welcome to the endless summer! Weather and temperatures are fairly consistent year-round on St. John, with no significant seasonal changes. That said, June through September tend to be the hottest months, with temperatures in the mid- to upper- 80s. December through March are the cooler months, with temps in the high 70s to low 80s.
The rainiest months are November, October, September, August, and May. Even in these months, most daily rainfall reports are below 0.10 inches. Rain showers are often short and typically occur early in the morning or at night. February and March are typically the driest months.
Hurricanes pose one of the greatest natural threats in the Virgin Islands. Atlantic Hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with the highest occurrences of storms in August and September. During hurricanes, residents secure personal belongings and wait out the winds and rain. The weather is monitored closely, so watches and warnings are given several days in advance.
