The Caicos Conch Farm offers a biological overview of the technology and methods developed during their 33 years of cultivating the Caribbean Queen Conch from the process of hatching the eggs, metamorphosis and post larval stages of life. This is the only place in the world for this experience. Conch’s not only produce much sought after meats by Chefs (it is a delicacy); but, they also produce beautiful shells and valuable pink pearls.
The scientists have been so successful with their conch breeding that they have recently expanded into brood-stocking of four other distinct species of warm water fin fish in their aquatic farming that includes: Grouper, Snapper, Pompano and Cobia.
