Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
July 28, 1994, Ground breaking began for a new Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in Vero Beach, Florida.
The resort was the first Disney Vacation Club resort to be constructed outside the Walt Disney World Resort area in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. CaribbeanDays can book your stay here!
But do you know what is very unique to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort? Vero Beach is a place where 1,000s of sea turtles have been nesting since the time of the dinosaurs! Cast members from Disney’s Animal Kingdom partner with Florida’s Environmental Protection Agency to protect these turtles. Disney does run Turtle walks so guests can safely observe the turtles during nesting and hatching season.
But, let me introduce you to my favorite cast member from Disney’s Animal Kingdom that works to protect these turtles, Captain Ron!
He sniffs out the new nests every morning during nesting season made by loggerheads, greens, and leatherbacks. Guests can have their turtle tours with Captain Ron in the morning. CaribbeanDays Can schedule this for you! Here is a downloadable flier about Disney’s Vero Beach.
