Expires: 9/20/2017 7:00 AM …THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM AST FOR SAINT CROIX …At 413 AM AST, torrential rainfall continues over Saint Croix. Surface observations indicated between 6 to 8 inches has fallen and additional rainfall between two to four inches are expected. Flash flooding will continue as more torrential rains affect the island. Some locations that will experience flooding include…Grove Place, Frederiksted South, Christiansted and Frederiksted.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
