Anguilla – Upcoming Events

MOON SPLASH, one of the Caribbean’s best and liveliest music festivals.  Kicks off on Anguilla’s beautiful Rendezvous Bay beach from April 21 – 24, 2016. Now in its 26th year, the festival was founded and is still hosted annually by Anguilla’s own Bankie Banx, known as “the Anguillan Bob Dylan,” whose music style combines reggae, folk, R&B and jazz, and who has actually toured with Bob Dylan.

ANGUILLA LIT FEST: A LITERARY JOLLIFICATION. Set against the backdrop of Anguilla’s tranquil ambience and stunning beaches, join readers, writers and thinkers for three days of inspiring workshops, illuminating seminars, dynamic presentations and invaluable networking opportunities with award-winning authors, poets, celebrity writers and noted publishers. The festival takes place May 19-22 2016.

ANGUILLA DAY – May 30, 2016.  This is an excellent time to visit the island.  It is a day of joyful celebration for our people, but also for visitors. Contagious happiness permeates all.  Every year the festivities kick off with one of Anguilla’s most exciting boat races, the Round-the-Island race, which begins at Sandy Ground at approximately 9 am0  A sight to behold as white sails take to the sea and “land racers” follow them by car and radio until they reach Sandy Ground in the late afternoon.

CARNIVAL & BOAT RACING July 28 – August 7,  2016. Forty three years of carnival, celebrating Boatracing, pageants, and street activities.
