Swimming with the Humpback Whales at Salt Cay
Salt Cay is one of the best kept secrets of the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is only 2.5 square miles but offers real big charm!
It’s vintage flavor takes guests back in time to when it was the center of the Bermudian Salt Industry in the late 1600s. The island embraces and nurtures it’s history.
What Salt Cay also offers it’s guests is a fantastic and unique experience of the opportunity to swim with wild humpback whales.
Humpback whales migrate through the Turks Head passage, past Salt Cay toward the Silver Banks of the Dominican Republic for birthing and then return to Salt Cay.
Salt Cay has profossionals that take guests out in small groups right within this passage and allow guests to submerge at the boats to view these pods. Guests will be in the water with the whales!
