Tri Circle D Ranch at Disney World
Disney has a working ranch! Tri-Circle-D Ranch is operated by Cast Members that belong to the Disney Animal Programs team.
The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is located in Fort Wilderness. Walt Disney loved horses and was an avid polo player. There is a room in the stables dedicated to Walt Disney’s love of horses with the history of the horses that appeared in Disney. A variety of breeds that live at the ranch include: Appaloosas, Arabians, Belgians, Clydesdales, American Paint Horses, Percherons, American Quarter Horses, and Shetland ponies. Take stable tours to meet the Cast Horses which include Angus from Brave and Maximus from Tangled. Other equine celebrities include the popular white “princess” ponies that pull Cinderella’s Coach during the enchanting wedding ceremonies, the majestic horses of Main Street, U.S.A., and the Headless Horseman’s horse that runs through the streets in Mickey’s Boo to You Parade during the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Tidbit, the cast horse that portrayed Maximus is the best to go trail riding on through Fort Wilderness!
